In April 2009, the towbar became an integral part of the vehicle MOT test. Here at Indespension, road safety is a top priority; therefore, we ensure that your towbar is always kept well maintained with the services we provide. So that you our customers can remain on the road.
The inspection is visual and the tester is looking for excessive corrosion, fractures/damage as well as wear on the tow ball, jaw, hook or eye.
Checks will also be made on the security of retaining nuts, bolts, pin as well as secondary locking devices such as R clips.
The checks include an area within 30cm of all mounting points for signs of weakness, corrosion or damage.
